Arrr….I’ve Got a Wee Bit RumChata Left

Hi-ho Fellow Band ‘o Pirates,

Ye may be wonderin’ why I be shoutin’ like a buccaneer and not a chicken. Well, I’ve been drinking some RumChata and fer some reason it’s been all “shiver me timbers” and “ahoy” ever since. Every drink I have, th’ more of a scurvy pirate I become.

If ye never heard ‘o RumChata, ‘tis be a delicious rum cream. What’s a rum cream? It’s like Bailey’s, but instead of vodka, it’ made wit’ rum! It has a similar consistency to Bailey’s, ‘n is also white and creamy.

Why be I so hooked? Arrr, this stuff is amazin’!!!! Created by Thomas Maas, RumChata is made with a base of five-time distilled premium rum imported straight from the Carrribbean. That base be then seamlessly integrated wit’ a horchata (cream mixture), for a taste that will blow your porthole off.

If there was one way to describe its taste, I would say it has a smooth vanilla and cinnamon flavor. RumChata has a 13.75% alcohol by volume, ‘n goes great wit’ nearly anything. It can be served chilled, in coffee or in a number o’ other concoctions. I’ve also been known to mix it wit’ tequila, other rums, ‘n brandy. The taste be so jolly!!!

For th’ pirate in all o’ us, RumChata has some practical applications, like in actual grub (food) recipes. One of my favorite is RumChata French Toast!

RumChata® French Toast

3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup RumChata®
8 slices white or french bread
1 Tbsp butter

Leave bread slices out in a paper bag overnight to dry out. With a fork beat together eggs, milk, and RumChata®.
Heat butter in griddle over medium heat until melted. Dip bread slices into egg mixture and cook until golden brown about 2-3 minutes per side.

Oh no…I just realized the RumChata is starting to wear off. Can you notice? I think I sound different. Wait one second…..

(pause for drink)
